Descriere : Marbella este, fara indoiala, unul dintre cele mai importante centre turistice ale Coastei del Sol (Spania), datorita calitatii exceptionale a infrastructurilor si a serviciilor pe care le ofera. Portul Banús, inconjurat de zone rezidentiale, unul dintre principalele nuclee de atractie turistica, adaposteste o exclusiva zona de recreere in portul sportiv al orasului (restaurante, magazine ale unor mari firme internationalein materie de moda si articolde de lux). Partea istorica a orasului, situata intr-un frumos golf, adaposteste zone cu aer tipic andaluz, cu case varuite si portocali care impodobesc strazile si pietele.Iubitorilor de sporturi nautice le stau la dispozitie teri porturi sportive, unde se pot initia in orice sport doresc. Merbella se bucura deasemenea de diverse scoli de echitatie, cluburi de tenis; nu trebuie sa uitam insa de posibilitatile oferite de Sierra Blanca pentru practicarea diverselor sporturi in aer liber.

De la Cabopino la Guadalmina, Marbella ofera turistilor un frumos litoral de 26km de plaje insorite dotate cu toata gama de servicii (hoteluri moderne, zone rezidentiale, magazine, restaurante).

1. Artola – Cabo Pino, din nisip fin auriu (1250m – lungime si 40m – latime), este o plaja situata departe de zonele urbanizate, intinsa de la Punta Ladrones pana la plaja portului sportiv din Cabo Pino. Valutile sunt moderate si exista si zone unde se practica nudismul.

2. Casablanca, din nisip alb fin (1500m – lungime si 30m – latime), este o plaja placuta si comoda, unde se pot inchiria ski-jet-uri, barci. Langa plaja sunt case imprejmuite de pini si palmieri. Valurile sunt linistite.

3. El Pinillo, din nisip de origine vulcanica (2450m – lungime si 15m – latime), este o plaja situata de la plaja Cable pana la gura de varsare a râului Real. Se pot inchiria ski-jet-uri, barci. Vegetatia de pini si arbusti ajunge pana aproape de plaja.

4. El Alicate, din nisip de origine vulcanica (1900m – lungime si 15m – latime), este situata la poalele zonei rezidentiale Costa Mar si include si gura de varsare a pârâului Sequillo. Dotari: Crucea Rosie, restaurante. In apropierea plajei este un teren de golf. Valurile sunt moderate.

5. Nueva Andalucía, din nisip de origine vulcanica (1300m – lungime si 40m – latime), este o plaja situata in zona portului Banús si formata din patru golfuri create artificial. Valurile sunt moderate, accesul pe plaja se face cu ajutorul unei rampe din lemn si are ca dotari: puncte de inchiriere barci, ski-jet-uri.

Muzee: Fundatia Museo del Grabado Español Comtemporáneo.

Spatii naturale: Parcul Natural Sierra de las Nieves.

Monumente: piata Los Naranjos, Primaria (sec. al XVI-lea), Casa del Corregidor (sec. al XVII-lea), Iglesia Mayor de la Encarnación, fortareata araba (sec, al IX-lea), zacaminte arheologice.

Golf: Marbella Golf & Country Club, inaugurat in 1994, deschis tot timpul anului si situat la 51 km de aeroportul international din Málaga.; Santa Clara Golf, situat in Marbella, inaugurat in 2001 si deschis tot anului; Cabopino Golf Marbella, deschis tot timpul anului, inaugurat in 2001 si situat in zona rezidentiala Artola Alta. ; Golf Rio Real, inaugurat in 1965, deschis tot timpul anului si situat in zona rezidentiala Golf Río – Marbella.

Playa de Calahonda

Carretera de Cádiz, Km 199 Marbella, 29600

This beach is located half-way between the towns of Marbella and Mijas, and has over 1000 square metres of fine, white sand. It's one of the loveliest beaches on the whole Costa del Sol, as it's so clean and quiet and the water is such a nice colour.

It's just a few metres from the main road and is very easy to get to. There's a little bar, plus showers and public toilets, a lifeguard service, watchtowers and first aid. Tourists of all nationalities, including both young people and families, tend to come here, especially at weekends.

Playa de Guadalmina

Paseo Marítimo de San Pedro de Alcántara, s/n Marbella, 29678

Just a few minutes from the old part of San Pedro is where you'll find this beach and its 1600 metres of thick, golden sand and crystal-clear waters. Here you can enjoy the sun, bathing in the sea, and water sports such as surfing and windsurfing and jetskiing, or take a pedalo with room for all your friends.

This beach has had a blue flag since 1992 (the highest quality rating) and has toilets, showers, watchtowers, lifeguards, and first aid. It's very popular with the locals and there are two bars where you can drink sangría.

Playa de la Bajadilla
Avenida Severo Ochoa, s/n Marbella, 29600

This is one of the most popular beaches along the whole of the coast of Marbella, full of parasols in thousands of colours, especially at weekends and in the summer months. It's located next to the fishing port, a few metres from the old part of the city, and has just over 700m of medium-grain dark sand.

The quality of the water is quite good, and there are three bars and comfortable deck chairs for bathers. Services include showers and toilets, lifeguards, watchtowers and first aid.

Playa de la Fontanilla
Paseo Marítimo, s/n Marbella, 29600

This regenerated beach with dark, almost black sand, is 800 metres long, flanked by the and close to the marina, attracting locals and visitors alike. You'll see row upon row of deck chairs and sunshades, ten bars where you can have a cold beer or a jug of sangría, pedaloes, etc. You couldn't ask for more.

The council cleaning service ensures that the sand is spotless every morning, despite the large number of people who go there every day. The showers are in the form of little elephants which cool down bathers with their long trunks, and there are toilets, watchtowers, lifeguards and first aid services.

Playa de Nagüeles
Carretera de Cádiz, Km 177, Marbella, 29600

This magnificent, well-looked after beach is found along Marbella's Golden Mile. The beach clubs of two of the best hotels in the city, Puente Romano and Marbella Club, are close by, and it's flanked by the new section of the Paseo Marítimo boardwalk on one side and spotless, regenerated white sands on the other.

This 800-metre-long beach has won many awards for quality, including the coveted blue flag. Facilities for the public include showers, toilets, lifeguards, first aid and watch towers. You can take part in all kinds of water sports, ranging from taking a ride in a pedalo to surfing between the waves. It's a popular beach with famous locals and celebrity visitors.

Playa de Puerto Banús-Nueva Andalucía

These two beaches stretch for more than 2000 metres and are alongside the José Banús marina. The sand is white, very clean and soft. The water has won lots of awards for high standards including the coveted blue flag rating. In summer months, it's jam-packed, and during the winter, when it's milder out, it's not so uncommon to see people of all ages enjoying a dip in the sea.

There are swings and slides for children, and adults can practise water sports. There's a beach club with a swimming pool and six bars to choose from.

Playa del Alicate
Carretera de Cádiz, Km 189, Marbella, 29600

This beach has almost 2000 metres of fine, golden sand and magnificent dunes, with eleven different bars, where you can have a soft drink, a beer and the best fried fish on the Mediterranean coast. It's very touristy and cosmpolitan, with families, couples, groups of friends, etc. On Saturdays and Sundays, it's really crowded, but during the rest of the week, it's one of the quieter beaches. The water is crystal clear, and the beach has had the blue flag rating since 1992. Near this beach, there's a beach club with a swimming pool. Facilities include lifeguards, watchtowers, first aid, showers and public toilets.

Playa El Pinillo
Carretera de Cádiz, Km 187,Marbella, 29600

This is one of the quietest beaches in Marbella, as it's located in a residential area next to Hotel Los Monteros and a housing development, surrounded by large houses and vegetation. Its main feature is its natural, fine golden sand dunes.

It covers over 1500 metres and the water is particularly clear. It has a coveted blue flag rating, and facilities include lifeguards, first aid and watch towers, as well as a bar, showers and public toilets.
